ATC Neelam Mathews  - IHS Jane's Airport Review 24 July 2017     Air traffic in the Middle East will have an additional 244 million passengers a year on routes to, from, and within the region by 2035, according to an IATA 20-Year Air Passenger Forecast. In anticipation, air navigation service provider (ANSP) Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS) will begin assessing the safety and efficiency benefits of deploying the Aireon space-based Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) service in Saudi airspace. The two parties announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on 14 July 2017. SANS is to develop and analyse a concept of operations for ADS-B as an additional layer of surveillance.

Neelam Mathews Singapore signs up for space-based ADS-B data  Feb 24 2016  Aireon is to supply space-based Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B)  data for the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore  (CAAS) under a deal signed on on 18  February during the  Singapore  Airshow. The CAAS signed a 12-year contract to purchase the service,  beginning in 2018.  This is the first data services agreement for the Aireon service in the  Asia-Pacific region. In order to improve air traffic controller situational awareness, Aireon will provide data  for the entire  Singapore  Flight Information Region (FIR) by supplementing  existing surveillance sensors used by the CAAS. Over the next two years, CAAS will establish the necessary infrastructure to  integrate the Aireon service with legacy systems. Neelam Mathews   IHS Jane's Airport Review Mar 12, 2015 The Aireon joint venture for space-based global air traffic surveillance has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) on the potential deployment of Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) services in Indian airspace. The MoU states that AAI will work with Aireon to develop applicable regulations, standards, and procedures for ADS-B; identify specific requirements for AAI's use of space-based ADS-B surveillance; and demonstrate how the use of ADS-B can improve aviation operations in Indian airspace. The Indian Space Research Organisation will assist the AAI in examining the feasibility of the Aireon solution.
