Unisys China is systems integrator to Chengdu airport
Posted by- Neelam Mathews Sept 21, 2011 Unisys Corporation says its China subsidiary has been named systems integrator to support the expansion and modernisation of Chengdu Airport, including work on the airport’s new Terminal 2. Unisys is subcontracted to the project’s prime contractor Sinotec, a Unisys partner in aviation industry in the Asia Pacific region. Recent projects of Unisys include Terminal 3 at Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA), the world’s largest terminal building, which was completed in time for the 2008 Olympic Summer Games; Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, also in China; and the new Terminal 3 at Delhi International Airport (DIAL) made ready for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in India. In 2010 Chengdu was China’s sixth busiest airport in terms of passenger numbers with 25.8 million passengers.
