Neelam Mathews Dec 14, 2012 The increasing presence of ATR -600 operators in Asia and the Pacific underpins the need for a new Training Center in Singapore that has been inaugurated both for commercial aircraft pilots and maintenance crew. It is located in the Seletar Aerospace Park, a major hub for the Singapore aerospace industry.  The new center has the capacity to train more than 600 pilots and maintenance crew per year. The facility features the new Full Flight Simulator (FFS), an integrated suite of flight training devices and advanced classroom settings to provide both pilot and maintenance training for multiple ATR aircraft platforms. The new FFS enables training for both ATR 42-600s and ATR 72-600s variants. Neelam Mathews Nov 22, 2012 ATR's newest flight training center in Singapore is now officially approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and is ready to start training courses shortly. The center will provide a high level of training programs from flight crew type rating through recurrent training to differences courses. Strategically located in the Seletar Aerospace Park, a major hub for the Singapore aerospace industry, the center will officially be inaugurated mid-December this year. The EASA certification of the new ATR Training Center in Singapore gives way to a long term operational approval of the flight training equipment. It covers the Full Flight Simulator (FFS) for ATR -600 series, the maintenance/flight simulation training devices (MFSTD) and a brief/debrief station. Posted by- Neelam Mathews Oct 6, 2012 A  Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) aircraft for the first western customer, Mexican Interjet,landed in Venice at Marco Polo airport for completion activities at the SuperJet International (SJI) facility. The “green” aircraft (MSN 95023) took off from Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCAC) assembly plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur (Russia), and flew through the airports of Novosibirsk and Zhukovsky (Moscow Region) before landing in Venice.   SJI is developing the “Supplemental Type Certificate” (EASA-STC) which permits aircraft interiors installation. Interjet SSJ100 interiors will be done by Pininfarina Italian Style. Interjet signed a firm order with SuperJet International for the purchase of 20 SSJ100. Posted by- Neelam Mathews Sept 18, 2011 ATR has announced the opening of a new pilot training center based near Charles de Gaulle airport in Roissy, Paris. The center is equipped with a brand new Full Flight Simulator developed and manufactured by Thales for the ATR 72-500. ATR has set up this new center in partnership with SIM Aéro Training, which will house the simulator and all the other teaching tools put in place by ATR, in addition to providing technical support. The turboprop manufacturer is strengthening its policy of expanding its offer of support to customers worldwide. The opening this new center allows services to be offered to these customers more rapidly and with greater ease of access. ATR currently has pilot training centers in Toulouse, Paris, Bangkok and Toronto.
