Vivek Lall has been appointed as a Special Advisor to United Nations to help steer the multi-nation body frame policy and its implementation in the area of broadband and associated cyber security issues. Lall, who is known from Boeing days and chaired the Indo-US Strategic Dialogue , Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, is actively engaged in India-US dialogue in various fields including defense, aviation, aerospace and cyber security. Currently, he is president and CEO of Reliance New Ventures Ltd. The President of the General Assembly, John W. Ashe, with whom Lall will be actively working for implementation of this policy, has conveyed his intention to convene a series of three high-level events and thematic debates of member states to put in place a roadmap to operationalize the whole concept of `The post-2015 Development agenda: Setting the Stage," said a statement.
