AINONLINE by    NEELAM MATHEWS March 12, 2014, 1:53 PM Rolls-Royce is looking to expand its engine component manufacturing activities in India, possibly adding new product lines and increasing the size of the facilities at its International Aerospace Manufacturing Pvt Ltd ( IAMPL ) operation in Bangalore, which already makes parts for the Trent 700 turbofan. One option being considered is to begin licensed production of components for the  AE  2100D3 military turbofan. IAMPL  is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. ( HAL ), and the two partners are considering whether to increase the size of the existing 77,500-sq-ft facility or relocate to a new site in the same Bangalore aerospace park. The company currently ships more than 130 different engine compressor parts to Rolls-Royce’s main aero engines factory in Derby,  UK . (Photo: Honeywell) October 19, 2012, 10:55 AM Honeywell has been asked to quote for the supply of 270  F125IN  turbofan engines to replace the twin Rolls-Royce Adour Mk 821s on India’s 125-strong fleet of Jaguar strike aircraft. The F125IN  is 600 pounds lighter than the Adour and is expected to enable 25-percent-shorter hot-and-high takeoffs. India’s Jaguars have become overweight and underpowered as a result of avionics and systems upgrades. The facility is to be used to provide maintenance support for the Pilatus PC-12NG , for which the company was recently appointed a fully authorized and exclusive sales agent in the Middle East. “In the interim, we will subsidize the work with small jets,” Muhiddin told AIN . April 24, 2012 Rolls-Royce has appointed Kishore Jayaraman, President of Rolls-Royce in India and South Asia.  Kishore joins Rolls-Royce after a 23 year career at General Electric, CEO, GE Energy- India Region.
