Neelam Mathews Oct 10, 2012 Lufthansa Technik AG and GE Aviation have entered into a long-term  cooperation agreement related to material supply, which also extends  to the supply of OEM spare parts, and parts repairs of CF6-80C2 and  CF34 engines operated by Lufthansa Technik's customers.  As part of this agreement, Lufthansa Technik and GE will jointly  develop and utilize each other's component repairs as well as other  support elements for their respective maintenance, repair and  overhaul services. KLM E&M and Lufthansa Technik have agreed to  launch a new joint offer dedicated to component support for Embraer  E-Jet family aircraft (E-170/E-175 and E-190/E-195). The two  companies are currently developing an appropriate business model for  the new product. Initially focusing on component services in a second  step the product could also be enlarged with other services which are  requested by the market.

Air France Boeing 777-200ER on Mumbai route

From July 19, Air France’s Boeing 777-200ER took off for the first time from Mumbai to Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. The Boeing 777-200ER seats 309 passengers in a 3-cabin configuration with 35 seats for Business, premium Economy, 24 and Economy with 250. Good news- the aircraft is equipped with the new Air France Business Class seat. With a fixed shell seat guaranteeing the passenger’s privacy, the seat structure and environment have been redesigned to offer. a seat bed with comfortable beds (2-metres long – 61cm wide); multiple positions with the new relaxation position, with legs extended on the new fixed footrest including during the take-off and landing phases, among the most highly appreciated; simpler and more practical controls;   new, more spacious storage areas.
