Qatar Airways to join oneworld alliance

Neelam Mathews Oct 9, 2012 As we reported on Oct 2,   http://aerospacediary.blogspot.in/2012/10/qatar-to-join-oneworld-on-oct-8.html  , Qatar  Airways is to join oneworld  alliance.                                                             Its election as a oneworld member designate was announced in New York – home of one world ’s central alliance management office – with senior executives of Qatar Airways and the alliance’s established member airlines in attendance. The Doha-based airline’s implementation into one world is expected to take between 12 and 18 months.   For those of us who missed the ceremony- here goes-

KFA to join oneworld

Posted by- Neelam mathews Dec 19, 2011 Crisis-hit Kingfisher Airlines will become part of one world airline alliance with effect from Friday Feb. 10. 2012, says an airline statement. It will be the first carrier from the subcontinent to join any of the global airline groups. Kingfisher Airlines received the green light to join this week after successfully completing a thorough review of its readiness conducted by British Airways, its sponsor.

BA offers festival fares

BA says passengers can sav e up to 30% on the flights. The all-inclusive fares start from Rs. 42,976 for a return flight from Delhi to London and Rs. 54,134 from Delhi to New York. Indian travellers can also benefit from hotel deals that British Airways offers in London, Edinburgh, Las Vegas and San Diego.   The World Traveller economy and Club World business class deals will be available until midnight September 30 and outbound travel can be upto 30 th   November 2011.  “ Festival season is a special time of the year when people travel to meet family and friends.
