Shape of our defense aircraft to come?

Neelam Mathews March 4, 2014 There's so much gloom and doom around us. Thought I'd liven up the morning. Like to leave you with some thoughts. While the government has decided -as yet without proof- to hold the Rolls engines contracts, what's going to happen to all the defense aircraft that are pending delivery including the Hawks? Please lets not talk indigenization of engines for the moment- unless ofcourse we're willing to wait a century for it! We need a magic formula - guidelines on how we move on freezing contracts. Not adhoc decisions. I'll start with a politically incorrect idea- lets get middlemen back -this time with transparency. Hmm...were they ever out???

Why did the NSA refuse to comment on middlemen?

Neelam Mathews Feb 15, 2013 A question by Times Now addressed to the NSA S. Menon at the Asian Security Conference being held in New Delhi on whether middlemen in arms deals were a security hazard, had Menon refused to "be drawn in." "Maybe one day I will answer your question," he said to the reporter. Really? Is it that difficult to acknowledge a known fact? Or does the government feel that there is no problem in middlemen, that it has banned through its own decree?
