Neelam Mathews Jan 10, 2013 AI has started a 787 daily flight to Paris. The flight AI-143 will leave Delhi Airport, Terminal-3 at 1310 hrs and arrive at Paris, Charles de Gaulle Airport (also known as Roissy Airport) at 1805 hrs. The return flight, AI-142, will depart from Charles de Gaulle at 2130 hrs and arrive at Delhi’s T-3 at 1010 hrs next day.  Air India is gradually expanding operations of its B-787 aircraft to more international destinations. Presently, the Dreamliners fly from Delhi to Dubai and Frankfurt, in addition to some domestic sectors.  Air India has received six B787 aircraft so far, with the last aircraft having arrived in Delhi on January 4, 2013. The aircraft is configured to accommodate 256 seats - 18 full flat Business Class seats, with flat-bed recline and 238 Economy Class seats.  The In-Flight Entertainment system (Top Series i8000) is supplied by M/s Thales – US.

It will then depart the German city at 0820hrs and arrive at New York’s JFK airport at 1110hrs, all times local. The daily A380 flights will replace an existing daily Boeing 747-400 service to JFK Airport via Frankfurt, representing a daily increase of 25% in seat capacity, says SIA. Frankfurt and New York will be Singapore Airlines’ ninth and tenth destinations to receive the superjumbo. Frankfurt is Singapore Airlines’ fourth point in Europe to be added to the list, after London, Paris and Zurich, while New York is the second point in North America, after Los Angeles. Airlines Aviation Daily Jul 15 , 2010 , p. 10 Neelam Mathews Air India says it will shift some of its international flights from its Frankfurt connecting hub to Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The service will start fully functioning by year-end 2011, once the airline’s domestic and international operations are fully integrated. Air India (AI) will also start operating to new nonstop destinations — Melbourne, Toronto and Chicago — while resuming services to Seoul with the winter schedule. Paris and Tokyo are expected to become dailies. With the planned increases, AI will operate 143 international services offering about 33,000 seats per week in each direction on routes from Delhi, up from 22,500 seats. Domestically, AI’s operations from Delhi are being further strengthened to 47 domestic destinations with increased frequencies, as well as nonstop and direct services.
