SINGAPORE AIR SHOW  »  2014 by    NEELAM MATHEWS February 12, 2014, 11:05 PM A long-term agreement between key supplier to the Boeing 787 program,  UTC  Aerospace Systems (Chalet  CD 07), and Lufthansa Technik ( LHT , Booth K65) has been announced for the maintenance, repair and overhaul ( MRO ) of  UTC ’s interiors products, sensors and integrated systems on the Boeing 787. The agreement builds on a previous contract, expanding  LHT s capabilities as a licensed  MRO  provider for  UTC . The two have shared a working relationship on the 787 since 2011. In November last year a long-term contract was signed between the two companies to provide rotable provisioning and services on Boeing 787 nacelle components. The deal enables  LHT  to offer full life-cycle support services for the 787’s General Electric  GE nx and Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines.

Sikorsky is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp.  The Legacy of Heroes tour to India follows a series of successful global visits where customers and community residents welcomed the aircraft and celebrated the exemplary and heroic actions of those who fly and maintain Sikorsky aircraft around the world, says UTC. The tour commenced in the United States in September and has visited Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and Thailand. It will pay an extended visit to India, with stops in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Mumbai.
