India's Economic Dip is Not Slowing Bizjet Sales, Says Embraer

AINONLINE by    NEELAM MATHEWS March 12, 2014, 2:25 PM Embraer says the slowdown in the Indian economy has done little to stop its strong business aircraft sales in the country. India is the first country from the Asia-Pacific region to have a complete portfolio of Embraer aircraft, ranging from the Phenom 100 very light jet to the large-cabin Lineage 1000. According to Embraer Executive Jets market intelligence vice president Jose Eduardo Costas, the Brazilian airframer now has 20 business aircraft based in India, which he said represents a 15-percent market share. In January 2014, a Phenom 300 was delivered to Kerala-based charter operator Joy Jets, which also operates a Phenom 100. “Such repeat orders reflect the broad acceptance of our portfolio in the market,” Costas told  AIN   at the India Aviation show in Hyderabad. Embraer Enlists India's Air Works for Legacy Support

AINONLINE by    NEELAM MATHEWS India's Air Works has been recruited by Embraer to provide maintenance support for operators of the Legacy 500 and 650 jets. [Photo: Embraer] March 12, 2014, 4:52 PM Embraer Executive Jets has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Air Works Pvt. Ltd. to provide full maintenance support to Legacy 500 and Legacy 450 customers in India. This agreement comes ahead of the midsize Legacy 500’s entry into service in the first half of this year. Certification of the mid-light Legacy 450 is expected next year. Bombardier- Air Works add second LMF

Neelam Mathews Oct 12, 2012 Bombardier Aerospace has enhanced its worldwide aftermarket service network for business aircraft customers with the addition of a second Line Maintenance Facility (LMF) in India. Air Works in New Delhi has been named an LMF for Challenger 604 ,  Challenger 605 ,  Global Express  and  Global Express XRS  business jets. The facility will complement Air Works’ center in Mumbai, which has been part of Bombardier’s Authorized Service Facility network since 2008. Éric Martel, President, Customer Services & Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft, Bombardier Aerospace said: “The two Air Works facilities are an important part of our overall network in India, anchored by our Mumbai Regional Support Office.
