Neelam Mathews Jan 7, 2012   Air New Zealand – one of the most creative and innovative carriers and a Star Alliance member- is partnering with Asia Miles, Cathay Pacific Airlines, Frequent Flyer Program. Cathay is also an alliance partner in the One World alliance. Starting Jan 31,Air New Zealand joins Asia Miles in the Airlines category. From this date, members will be able to earn Asia Miles on Air New Zealand flights between Auckland and Hong Kong – and start redeeming miles for award tickets later in the first quarter of 2013 (exact date to be announced). This amazing set of videos- Nothing to Hide- was a never before done effort- where uniforms were painted on the staff! Even the CEO appears in the video. Brilliant!

Neelam Mathews Aug 23, 2012 Cathay Pacific has announced its expansion in India with a new 4 times a week A330-300 service to Hyderabad. The first flight to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) is scheduled to land on Dec.1, from Hong Kong.   “Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) has emerged as an ideal destination for both airlines and passengers and is well equipped to handle the additional traffic. … This new Cathay flight will play an important role in promoting tourism….as well as offer convenient connections to the vast Chinese hinterland,” said Vikram Jaisinghani, CEO, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL).

Posted by- Neelam Mathews July 26, 2012 Starting today, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) passport holders can enjoy a 14 day visa free visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan and Kazakh nationals can similarly spend 14 days in Hong Kong on a visa free basis. The visa free agreement between the HKSAR and Kazakhstan governments was signed in May 2012. Air Astana will launch a twice weekly flights between Almaty and Hong Kong service on 28th August, with the service to be operated by Boeing 757 configured in a 16 business class / 150 economy class configuration.  The duration of the Almaty to Hong Kong flight is 6 hours 10 minutes, while Hong Kong to Almaty flight is 7 hours 10 minutes.  Passengers arriving in Hong Kong will enjoy convenient connections on partner airlines to southern China and south east Asia.  For passengers arriving in Almaty, Air Astana offers a rapidly expanding network of international services to Russia, Central Asia and the Caucasus, a...
