(Photo: Neelam Mathews) Boeing’s 20-year market outlook for India, released on July 31, reflects the manufacturer’s optimism that the Indian economy will remain strong and grow from the world’s seventh to third largest by 2037. But that outlook may underestimate the need for smaller regional jets identified during a conference the following day in India’s northeast region. Ahead of that revision, the carrier, which  ordered a mix of 50 Embraer E190-E2s and E195-E2s at the Singapore Air Show  in February, has applied for a national permit to fly pan-India, Vivek Choudhary, chief commercial officer and vice president of corporate finance of parent company  LEPL  Projects Ltd., told  AIN . Neelam Mathews Feb 14, 2013 Even as elections draw closer and the Minister of Civil Aviation talks of aggressive plans for regional connectivity, UAC Russia President Mikhail Pogosyan told Aerospace Diary that as India's domestic traffic showed signs of growth, "we will market (Sukhoi SuperJet100) (that has) attracted interest. We are speaking to GoAir and Air India." "We treat this market as special," Pogosyan said. The  regional jet in the 75- to 95-seat category.
