AINONLINE by    NEELAM MATHEWS March 12, 2014, 1:53 PM Rolls-Royce is looking to expand its engine component manufacturing activities in India, possibly adding new product lines and increasing the size of the facilities at its International Aerospace Manufacturing Pvt Ltd ( IAMPL ) operation in Bangalore, which already makes parts for the Trent 700 turbofan. One option being considered is to begin licensed production of components for the  AE  2100D3 military turbofan. IAMPL  is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. ( HAL ), and the two partners are considering whether to increase the size of the existing 77,500-sq-ft facility or relocate to a new site in the same Bangalore aerospace park. The company currently ships more than 130 different engine compressor parts to Rolls-Royce’s main aero engines factory in Derby,  UK . Now Rolls-Royce’s main focus in India is the  CTS800 turboshaft engine offered in partnership with Honeywell for the Light Utility Helicopter ( LUH ) being developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. Neelam Mathews Oct 11, 2012 Lufthansa Technik AG and CFM International have signed a new  cooperation agreement for the support of CFM56 engines. Under the terms of the agreement, CFM and Lufthansa Technik will  jointly develop component repairs, overhaul technology and other  technical support for their respective maintenance, repair and  overhaul operations. CFM will supply OEM replacement parts, component  repairs, and repair technology to Lufthansa Technik. "This agreement is really a win-win proposition," said Jean-Paul  Ebanga, president and CEO of CFM. "We have developed a good working relationship with CFM over the  years," said Dr. Johannes Bussmann, Chief Executive HR, Engine- & VIP  Services, Lufthansa Technik. "With this comprehensive agreement, we  look forward to increasing our use of CFM materials and technology  and working jointly with CFM to reduce our airlines' engine  maintenance costs."

The hotdog said over the air, "Anything you can do, I can do better." The veteran bomber pilot answered, "Try this hot-shot." The B-52 continued its flight, straight and level. Asked about the move by P&W and  MTU  earlier this year to purchase Rolls-Royce’s share in the International Aero Engines, he replied, “The acquisition will simplify our global market strategy [to] align with our partners and…optimize deals for the A320.” This week Hess was named as board chairman of  IAE .
