India-Singapore sign training facilities agreement
Posted by- Neelam Mathews June 4, 2013 Singapore Army training in Brunei Singapore, that had a few years ago, found India to be too expensive to conduct its army training, reaching out to South Africa instead, has now signed a fresh agreement with India to extend the use of training and exercise facilities by the Singapore Army for a further period of five years from August this year. The agreement was signed by the Indian Defense Secretary Radha Krishna Mathur and the Singaporean Permanent Secretary of Defense Chiang Chie Foo in the presence of the Defense Ministers of the two countries, AK Antony and Ng Eng Hen. A bilateral agreement for utilization of facilities in India by the Singapore Air Force and Army was signed in October 2007 and August 2000.
