Indian Navy upgrades ATC meteorological equipment

The Indian Navy (IN) has inaugurated the first of nine Integrated Automatic Aviation Meteorological System (IAAMS) installations, mainly using technology from Vaisala, under a contract worth an undisclosed amount.

Indian Naval Station Rajali near Chennai is the launch site, and it will serve as a testbed for future IAAMS deployments as the IN seeks to replace manual meteorological observations with automated real-time measurements with a suite of sensors.

We dialled the number-was constantly engaged There is some buzz again on the start of the regional Vijaywada-based Air Costa owned by Lingamaneni Estates (LEPL), a company into real estate, construction and contracting business. AerospaceDiary could not confirm this. The company has been employing staff of ailing Kingfisher Airlines that include cabin attendants, station managers, Instructors for Inflight services, ground instructors etc. In Aug last year, it had advertised for Captains holding ALTP License with total flying experience of 4000 hours (Jet 2000 hours, 1000 hours of Glass Cockpit, 1000 hours as TIC). BSF launches ERP solution

Chidambaram, Union Home Minister at the BSF HQ in New Delhi. . “The Intranet Prahari Project valued at Rs. 229 Crores was sanctioned by MHA in February 2010. The project is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solution through NIIT Technologies Ltd for Border Security Force (BSF) where  all major processes such as Finance, Inventory Management, Operations and Personnel Information have been automated and integrated to act as a robust and quick Decisions Support System and for consolidated view of data for analyses. Under this Project, network connectivity has been extended up to Battalion level i.e to 237 locations of BSF. Data Centers have been established including the Main Data Center; a Disaster Recovery Data Center ( in a different seismic zone) and Mini Data Centers at frontier locations for data storage. AIA Calls for Measured Approach to (U.S) Defense Budget

Blakey For some time our industry has advocated that reductions in the defense budget be made on the basis of a new national defense strategy that seeks to secure America’s future rather than simply applying lower numbers across-the-board. We therefore appreciate the evident hard work and thoughtful process that President Obama and Secretary Panetta described in developing the new strategy and their commitment to avoid arbitrary cuts. We are encouraged that Secretary Panetta made it clear once again that sequestration was not an option for the strong defense that our nation deserves. He also specifically recognized the importance of a strong industrial base to support the military.
