Jet- The Buzz is back

 There is a strong buzz in the market that the Etihad-Jet Airways deal will be announced on monday. Word has it Etihad will pick up 24%. Aerospace Diary could not confirm this.
Jet, presently, has 110 aircraft in its fleet, while Etihad, as of Oct 31, had 67.

 Interesting times ahead?

We dialled the number-was constantly engaged There is some buzz again on the start of the regional Vijaywada-based Air Costa owned by Lingamaneni Estates (LEPL), a company into real estate, construction and contracting business. AerospaceDiary could not confirm this. The company has been employing staff of ailing Kingfisher Airlines that include cabin attendants, station managers, Instructors for Inflight services, ground instructors etc. In Aug last year, it had advertised for Captains holding ALTP License with total flying experience of 4000 hours (Jet 2000 hours, 1000 hours of Glass Cockpit, 1000 hours as TIC). The airline has popped in and out of the news  in the past year. Its website is static. Quest- now Aequs- New identity, same people

Neelam Mathews March 5, 2014 QuEST Global Manufacturing and QuEST Global SEZ are being rebranded as Aequs (pronounced a-cus).  The Aequs brand was unveiled at an event in Belgaum by  Dr Klaus Richter, Executive Vice President - Procurement, Airbus Group.  Airbus is an Aequs customer and sources aircraft parts and sub-assemblies directly and indirectly from the company’s Belgaum facilities, says Quest. Speaking on the occasion, Richter said: “Airbus has been working with QuEST Manufacturing for many years. We look forward to continuing and growing the association with Aequs as their capacity and ecosystem expands even as the Airbus procurement activity in India is increasing both in volume and complexity.” Aequs is derived from’   aequus ’, Latin for ‘equal’. U.S – India sector…..American to pull out

Neelam Mathews Jan 12, 2012 American Airlines is dropping its New Delhi – Chicago route. The service to New Delhi will end March1. American's route was launched in Nov-2005 after the U.S and India signed an Open Skies Agreement. AA says it's dropping the New Delhi route based on "the historical financial performance of the route and its future outlook given the global economic climate and high oil prices … ..” Some estimates are claiming that American Airlines is losing close to $40 million on the New Delhi route- numbers that at an initial look, seem to be astronomically high.  American said the cancellation is not specifically related to its Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring but to "normal business changes."
