Breaking! Jaguar Re-engining RFP out soon

Nothing is a breeze in India. But good news does tend to creep in. The RFP for the Jaguar re-engining to Honeywell will be out by the end of this month, Chief of Air Staff NAK Browne told Aerospace Diary today at a press conference held before the celebration of the IAFs 80th anniversary on Oct 8.
It may be recalled in February 2011, Rolls Royce withdrew from the bid to upgrade 120-twin engined Jaguars that have the Adour Mk821 engine. The bid had called for a new engine, not an upgraded one as was expected by Rolls.

The Jaguars have become overweight and underpowered and will now have the Honeywell F125IN engine.

We dialled the number-was constantly engaged There is some buzz again on the start of the regional Vijaywada-based Air Costa owned by Lingamaneni Estates (LEPL), a company into real estate, construction and contracting business. Quest- now Aequs- New identity, same people

Neelam Mathews March 5, 2014 QuEST Global Manufacturing and QuEST Global SEZ are being rebranded as Aequs (pronounced a-cus).  The Aequs brand was unveiled at an event in Belgaum by  Dr Klaus Richter, Executive Vice President - Procurement, Airbus Group.  Airbus is an Aequs customer and sources aircraft parts and sub-assemblies directly and indirectly from the company’s Belgaum facilities, says Quest. U.S – India sector…..American to pull out

Neelam Mathews Jan 12, 2012 American Airlines is dropping its New Delhi – Chicago route. The service to New Delhi will end March1. American's route was launched in Nov-2005 after the U.S and India signed an Open Skies Agreement. AA says it's dropping the New Delhi route based on "the historical financial performance of the route and its future outlook given the global economic climate and high oil prices … ..” Some estimates are claiming that American Airlines is losing close to $40 million on the New Delhi route- numbers that at an initial look, seem to be astronomically high.  American said the cancellation is not specifically related to its Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring but to "normal business changes."
