As with all contracts under the world’s eye, news breaks sometimes get misconstrued by default. As reported earlier this morning, the bumpy ride of the MMRCA bids is nearing its conclusion. The invites to commercial proposals of the two contenders Eurofighter Typhoon and Rafale may be sent possibly today-Oct 18 or on Oct 19, AerospaceDiary now learns.
In the past, contenders have been asked to appear for the opening of commercial bids sometimes within five days, often ten of the letter being issued. In some cases, vendors are asked to name a preferred date.
Many have speculated the bids may not be opened before Diwali- Oct 26.
