Winds of Change at LM Aeronautics

Michael N. (Mike) Kelley has been named Regional Market Director for South and Southeast Asia for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. In this capacity he will have business development responsibility for all LM Aeronautics products in Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.Kelley will gradually assume his new responsibilities over the next few months before relocating to LM Aeronautics headquarters in December 2011, says a statement.
Prior to this assignment, Kelley spent six years assigned to Lockheed Martin’s New Delhi office.  While assigned in India, he led LM Aeronautics’ 2008 sale of C-130J aircraft to the Indian Air Force, the first major Indo-US defense deal in nearly 50 years.  He also played a major role in LM’s campaign for the Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft competition.
Wing Commander (Retired) Rajesh K. Dhingra will assume leadership for LM Aeronautics business development efforts in India.  These activities will include additional sales of C-130J aircraft and derivatives, unmanned air systems, and maritime surveillance aircraft.  Dhingra has been with Lockheed Martin since April 2007.
