Embraer’s E195-E2 makes Wings India 2020 debut

Embraer’s largest commercial aircraft, the E195-E2, will be making its first appearance at Wings India 2020. Showcasing a stunning ‘TechLion’ livery that covers the entire aircraft’s fuselage, this aircraft is the largest member of the new generation E-Jets family, the E-Jets E2, and is designed to seat up to 146 passengers in its signature two by two seating.
“Passenger traffic is growing tremendously in India and with the growth of the regional connectivity scheme, the next frontier for growth are the metro to non-metro markets as well as the non-metro to non-metro markets,” said Cesar Pereira, Asia Pacific Vice President of Embraer Commercial Aviation. “However, most of these routes are not dense enough to fill a 180 seat narrowbody, and that is why we believe that our aircraft size is the sweet spot for airlines to sustainably operate on regional routes.”
The ‘TechLion’ livery on Embraer’s E195-E2 reflects the advance technology the aircraft features such as full Fly-By-Wire capability and the ability of the aircraft – the world’s most efficient single-aisle jet – to deliver outstanding operating economics.
Outstanding Economics and Passenger Comfort
The E195-E2 is Embraer’s latest aircraft to enter into service and has been in operation with Brazil’s award-winning airline Azul and Binter Canarias, a Spanish airline operating inter-island services within the Canary Islands and other Atlantic islands. The aircraft burns 25.4% less fuel per seat than the first-generation E195 and features the lowest levels of external noise and emissions in its class. It is also 10% more fuel efficient than its direct competitor.
The E195-E2 is the most environmentally friendly aircraft in its class. It has the lowest levels of external noise and emissions. The cumulative margin to ICAO Stage IV noise limit ranges from 19 to 20 EPNdB, 4.0 EPNdB better than its direct competitor.
The design philosophy of the E195-E2 cabin is focused on increased personal space for passengers and their carry-on luggage. Embraer’s two by two seating provides greater passenger comfort, faster boarding and deplaning. The windows have been redesigned to create the feeling of a larger cabin with abundant natural light.
The cabin features options for Wi-Fi internet connectivity and individual screens for in-flight entertainment, among other amenities.
Embraer is the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial aircraft up to 150 seats with more than 100 customers from all over the world. For the E-Jets program alone, Embraer has logged more than 1,800 orders and 1,500 aircraft have been delivered. Today, E-Jets are flying in the fleet of more than 80 customers in some 50 countries. The versatile 70 to 150-seat family is flying with low-cost airlines as well as with regional and mainline carriers.
