Budget carrier AirAsia is poised to become the first Malaysian airline to obtain operational certification from DCA Malaysia for Required Navigation Performance Authorization Required Approach (RNP AR APCH) flight paths.
The Malaysian programme includes GE Aviation-designed, ICAO Doc 9905-compliant RNP AR APCH paths, which allow the AirAsia A320 fleet to fly precisely defined paths without relying on ground-based radio navigation signals.
