Job Description
ROLE PROFILEThe successful candidate will be responsible for building and defending the reputation of Rolls-Royce in India in support of the company?s business objectives.
A key member of the Corporate Affairs team in Asia Pacific, interaction with the Regional Directors and CFBU in country teams is critical to success of the role. The role will report to the Head of Communications, Asia Pacific & the Middle East, with a dotted line to the Regional Director of India.

Purpose
To support the Head of Communications, Asia Pacific & the Middle East in the delivery of corporate communications that help shape the environment in which the company does business and to manage the perceptions of key external stakeholders. Key priorities are:
· Raise awareness of the scale of the business, its products, services and technology amongst key external stakeholders.
· Ensure that good news stories and successes are promoted and celebrated in key publications in the portfolio markets.
· Position the company, amongst key customers and other external stakeholders, as a trusted partner and complete solution provider.
The role has both a stakeholder engagement and reputation management dimension and will work closely with other members of the wider Corporate Affairs team globally.
Key responsibilities
· To implement the communication strategy for India which has been formed in alignment to global corporate communications objectives.
· To lead and develop relationships with key media in India to drive positive media coverage and awareness of the Group?s technology, product portfolio and commitment to the countries.
· To manage the media strategy and ensure key messages are communicated to target external audiences.
· Implement proactive campaigns that promote and position the business in the portfolio region with a focus on the strategic rather than opportunistic/ tactical level.
· Manage events and activities that support the communications objectives of the portfolio region management team
· Ensure adherence to purchasing policies and finance processes. Agree any changes to budget with Head of Communications, Asia Pacific & the Middle East.
· Supervise appointed agencies in India.
