The
Philippines has denied the applications for the issuance of Foreign
Air Carrier’s Permit (FACP) of Jet Airways to fly to Manila, report local
papers. The reason given is the limited capacity of the Ninoy Aquino
International Airport (NAIA). Oman Air's request, has also been rejected, we
hear.
China's Spring
Airlines is said to be wanting to fly too, to Manila.
Most airports
in the country are not night rated and are limited to daytime operations in
many airports,” the report quoted one of the sources. “Most of the domestic
flights are connecting to Manila.”
The country has granted around 39 permits to international airlines by end 2012.

ReplyDeleteThe Executive Director of the Civil Aeronautics Board of the Philippines has been quoted in an article
"Arcilla said the agency is already processing the FACP of Oman Air while Jet Airways of India was granted an FACP valid until 2016 last 2011."
As I said in my story this was quoted by a local publication. Jet hasn't as yet denied it. Thanks for your comment. We'll keep an eye.
