IATA Chief Tony Tyler and Peter Foster, CEO of Air Astana, share a connection going back to their Cathay days and what better occasion than the IATA Aviation Day being celebrated in Astana, to get together for a song?
Tyler was in his element as he fixed the strings on a local version of a guitar presented to him by Foster.
As IATA restructures around the world, closing many offices, last month, IATA opened an office in Astana keeping in mind the importance of the Central Asian market, said Tyler. He promised IATA would play an important role in the market.
