India launches Agni V

DRDO test launched the Agni V intercontinental ballistic missile designed to hit a target of up to 5,000 km this morning at 8.05am.

The three-stage Agni-V missile performance were demonstrated. DRDO says Agni V was developed indigenously at a cost of $48 million.The three-stage missile is 17.5-meter tall with launch weight of 50 tons, powered by solid rocket propellants, was test-fired from a mobile launcher of the Integrated Test Range in the eastern Indian state of Odisha.
