Small and medium enterprises can significantly reduce the cost of business travel following a major revamp of Lufthansa’s corporate travel program, Star Alliance Company Plus (SACP), says the airline.

Effective 1 February, 2012, SACP members in India can enjoy easier upgrades, faster free flights and a five-fold increase in the value of cashback awards through a substantial enhancement in the earning power of their reward points. The new SACP PlusPoint structure facilitates far greater value with easy accurals and better redemption possibilities. For instance, members can now get one free Economy Class ticket free on purchase of one full-fare First Class ticket or two full-fare Business Class tickets.

These attractive financial advantages extend across the collective network of the 6 partner airlines - Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, bmi, Air Canada and United Airline. PlusPoints can be redeemed for free flights and free upgrades across all participating airlines, as well as free excess baggage on Lufthansa operated flights.

“Lufthansa has always partnered small and medium enterprises in India and these enhancements are yet another step in this direction. The new SACP program delivers additional value, making business travel more rewarding than ever before.” says Axel Hilgers, South Asia Director, Lufthansa.
