Two of 15 Q400s ordered by SpiceJet to be delivered today here will follow a 4-day journey to India, Aerospace Diary learns.

Two more aircraft will be delivered within the week to SpiceJet by manufacturer Bombardier.

The first of India's Q400s journey will start in Toronto, onward to Goose Bay, Rejavik, Exeter or Bournemouth and then to Nice. They will then fly to Malta, onwards to Muscat and then Delhi. The last part of the route will be the longest.

On an empty load, the Q400 can fly around 5 hours, says an official here.

SpiceJet will start it regional operations on Sept 21 from its base in Hyderabad. Its first flight will be to Tirupati.
