Philippine Airlines to start services to Delhi

As the Indian economy picks up, Philippine Airlines is starting six weekly services to Delhi from March 28.

Of the six flights, three will be via Bangkok and three direct to Delhi.

This comes in the heels of PALs announcement that it will stop 4 weekly flights to and from Riyadh beginning April 2 after incurring losses on the sector.

PAL had stopped flying to India over five decades ago as part of the then-president Ramon Magsaysay's rural development focus.

PAL had resumed its flights to Riyadh in March last year after halting operations beginning March 2006.
